First CAPP gala hopes to place homeless animals in forever homes

Posted:
GUILDERLAND, N.Y. –  A fundraiser was held on Saturday to benefit homeless animals.

NEWS10 ABC’s Chief Meteorologist Steve Caporizzo hosted the fundraiser to find animals loving homes.

It was the first annual Companion Animal Placement Program, or CAPP, “Free to be Me” dinner gala. The event was held at the Western Turnpike Golf Course in Guilderland.

“CAPP’s” mission is to rescue and place homeless animals in forever homes and also to provide education and help to pet owners.

The gala raised money for local rescue groups that otherwise, don’t see many funds.
