No new leads in search for missing Vermont man

PAWLETT, Vt. – Vermont State Police did not find any new leads for the search for a missing Vermont man.

Police searched along the banks of the Mettawee River on the New York/Vermont state line near Granville, N.Y. for 23-year-old Jonathan Schaff. Schaff went missing in January 2014.

Members of the Vermont State Police Search and Rescue, Scuba Team, Crime Scene Search Team and K-9 units worked throughout the day Tuesday with the New York State Police, the NYS Environmental Conservation and the Granville Police Department.

The search did not result in any new leads.

The Vermont State Police urge anyone with information regarding Schaff’s whereabouts to contact them at 802-773-9101.
