Missing Cohoes man found in Schoharie

COHOES, N.Y. – A man missing from Cohoes was found in the Village of Schoharie Monday, according to the Schoharie County Sheriff’s Office.

According to Cohoes Police, Felix Rodriguez was recently reported missing by family members who said they had not seen him since Sunday morning.

The family told police that Rodriguez left his White Street home to go for a bicycle ride.

The 54-year-old was found in Schoharie riding his bike, according to Schoharie County Sheriff Tony Desmond. Desmond said a sheriff's patrol spotted Rodriguez and checked on the man's welfare.

Rodriguez was not carrying identification, but he told the deputy who he was.

Desmond said it appeared as if Rodriguez did not know where he was, and he believes Rodriguez rode his bicycle all the way from Cohoes. His family was contacted and they took him home Monday night.

Police said Rodriguez is known to frequent bike trails in the area and places with views of the water.
