Two men rescued from Normans Kill Creek

GUILDERLAND, N.Y. – Guilderland Police said there was a water rescue in Normans Kill Creek at French's Hollow on Saturday morning.

According to police, around 6:46 a.m., authorities received a call for two young men that were drinking alcohol on the French's Hollow Foot Bridge. Shortly after, a second call reported that the two men jumped off the bridge, a 50 foot drop into the Normans Kill Creek.

Officers responded to the scene to find 21-year-old Kevin McCarthy was still in the water semi-conscious and unable to move due to injuries.

Rescue teams responded for a water rope rescue.

McCarthy and 22-year-old Nickolas Moreno were taken to Albany Medical Center.
