Documents show BMC aims to pay $4M for NARH

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Efforts to save North Adams Regional Hospital continue with an offer made to purchase some of the facilities there.

Documents from Monday’s bankruptcy proceedings show Berkshire Medical Center has agreed to pay $4 million for the hospital and other on-campus facilities, as well as a doctors building on state road.

Still, it could be weeks before this so called purchase-and-sale agreement is finalized.

It could also fall through if other bidders make higher offers to buy the facilities.
