Man sentenced for violent felony charge

ALBANY, N.Y. – A man was sentenced to four years in State Prison on Monday.

Eric Sherman, 36, was sentenced on Monday morning, according to District Attorney P. David Soares. He will also serve three years of Post Release Supervision.

On March 3, Sherman pleaded guilty to one Count of Attempted Burglary in the Second Degree, a Violent Felony.

Between December 4, 2013 and December 5, 2013, Sherman unlawfully entered a residence on Fuller Road in the Town of Colonie and stole a television valued at $700.
