WHITE CREEK, N.Y. – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office said an elderly couple was injured after a motor vehicle accident.
According to Sheriff Jeffery Murphy, the accident happened on Monday shortly before 4 p.m. on State Route 22.
A vehicle, driven by Donald Bogardus, 82, was traveling northbound when the vehicle went off the right side of the road, according to authorities. The vehicle went into a ditch, hitting a culvert, and then became airborne. The vehicle landed on its roof.
Bogardus and his wife, Esther, 83, were extradited from the vehicle. Esther was taken to Albany Medical Center by Life Net Helicopter with head injuries and difficulty breathing. Donald was taken to Albany Medical Center with head injuries.
