Troy City Engineer resigns

TROY, N.Y. – The Troy City Engineer resigned Monday morning.

Mayor Lou Rosamilia released a statement regarding Russ Reeves’ resignation. Rosamilia said he accepted Reeves’ resignation.

The reason behind Reeves’ resignation was not given, but Rosamilia said in his statement that he has been focused on important issues, including “ensuring the public safety of each and every Troy resident.”

The mayor also included his statement that he was told of safety questions at the King Fuels site, and he stopped work until representatives from National Grid could evaluate the site.

Rosamilia stated he and Deputy Mayor Peter Ryan met with the representations who determined the work could continue. The work has since been completed.
