CDTA holding two Earth Day events, continues green efforts

ALBANY, N.Y. – CDTA is celebrating Earth Day with their ongoing green efforts and two events.

The latest green initiative from CDTA is the installation of fully-automatic, high-speed garage doors in the Albany garage. The installations for the 12 garage doors were recently completed.

CDTA has also acquired four new hybrid buses, which help to save on fuel costs. Their bus washes also save tens of thousands of gallons of portable water each year.

CDTA is partnering with a number of local agencies for Earth Day, holding two events. The first will be Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. for the annual Earth Day bicycle parade in Tivoli Park. The second event will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the NYS Department of Transportation Fair at 50 Wolf Road.
