Man faces two felonies after traffic stop

WATERFORD, N.Y. – A man has been arrested for two felonies after he was allegedly caught driving while intoxicated.

According to Waterford Police, on Friday around 10 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction in the Town of Waterford.

Upon investigation, it was determined that the driver, Michael Willett, 51, had been drinking prior to be driving.

Willett was arrested after failing several field sobriety tests and a breath test determined his BAC was .13-percent.

Further investigation revealed Willett has a prior conviction within the past 10 years.

He was charged with DWI with a prior conviction, felony DWI, reckless driving, following too closely, and insufficient tail lamps. He was released on an appearance ticket.
