CHESTERTOWN, N.Y. – A Brant Lake teen is under arrest after police say he impersonated an officer.

The Warren County Sheriff's Office arrested Tyler Eves, 18, for Criminal Impersonation.

On April 12, a patrol officer was flagged down by a citizen stating that a red colored Ford F150 pick-up truck with red and blue emergency lights in the windshield had just pulled him over on the interstate, but that when he stopped the pickup truck fled.  The citizen followed the truck to the Stewarts Shop in Chestertown and identified the vehicle.

Through a joint investigation with the NYSP, it was discovered that Eves had stopped at least one other person. Eves was subsequently located and arrested.

Police ask anyone else who believes they were stopped by Eves to please contact the Warren County Sheriff's Office or the NYSP.
