Albany Police investigating weekend shooting


ALBANY, N.Y. - Albany Police say they are investigating a shooting that occurred on Sheridan Avenue over the weekend.

According to police, around 11:40 p.m. on Saturday, officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Lark Street and Sheridan Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers found a male victim who had been shot. The 20-year-old male sustained a single gunshot wound to the leg.

Authorities say he was treated at the scene and transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital where he was treated and released.

The incident remains under investigation.
