ALBANY, N.Y. - Local protestors are suiting up Tuesday at the Capitol to say "No" to big oil in New York.
Local residents will don the traditional hazmat suits used in hazardous clean up during the protest.
Opponents of crude oil believe that bringing the industry to the Empire State will turn New York into a "global crude oil transport hub," and open the door to Canadian tar sands, which is the name for the petroleum deposits that are turned into oil.
Many believe the tar sands cause widespread environmental damage.
Tuesday's protest starts at the State Capitol at 11:30 a.m.
