ALBANY, N.Y. – A fire over the weekend has displaced eight people who were living in three apartments.
The Albany Fire Deputy Chief said the call came in around 11:15 Saturday night. The blaze took about 90 minutes to battle at 44 Watervliet Avenue.
There were no injuries as a result of the fire. However, one woman was taken to the hospital for possible smoke inhalation, but officials say it was not serious.
Five people were assisted by the American Red Cross.
The building is considered a total loss and the cause is still under investigation.
