ALBANY, N.Y.—An Albany man was sentenced to 10 years in State Prison on Monday morning
Antwan Uptegrow, 36, was sentenced to 10 years in State Prison for his role in a robbery which ended in a murder. According to officials Uptegrow pleaded guilty to one count of robbery, a violent felony, earlier this year.
Uptegrow, and co-defendents Shaquan Oliver, 23, Bernanrd White, 24, and Uquan Bean, 22, all attempted to rob Alex Duncan, 35, in front of a neighborhood business. During the robbery, Duncan was shot in the chest and taken to Albany Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
All four co-defendants pleaded guilty to one Count of Robbery in the first degree, a felony.
