ALBANY, N.Y.—The YWCA will graduate eight women from their Ready for Work Employment readiness program on Friday.
The YWCA will have their 15th Ready for Work graduation ceremony Friday, where more than 100 women have graduated in six years.
The Ready for Work Program is a 12-week readiness program to prepare women for the work force.
Ceremonies will include a presentation of certificates, graduates' five year plans, and information about their journeys along the way.
The Ready for Work Employment Training Program provides residents and community members with on-site work experience as well as skill building workshops and trainings. This program was developed to address a variety of barriers that women face when seeking gainful employment.
The ceremony will take place at the YWCA in Troy at 11:30 a.m.
