ALBANY, N.Y. - One woman is recovering in the hospital Tuesday morning after a house fire broke out late Monday night.
Around 10 p.m. Monday, firefighters repsponded to the call at 256 First Street. As crews arrived, heavy smoke and flames had already filled the first floor.
Officials say they got the fire under control quickly and were able to rescue one woman inside the home. She is expected to be okay.
Three people were displaced as a result of the fire, but officials say the building is not a total loss.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
