Man accused of assaulting woman during domestic dispute


GREENVILLE, N.Y. – New York State Police have arrested a man after punching and kicking a woman during a dispute.

According to authorities, Joseph Sikorski-Elsbree, 22, was arrested on Sunday after a domestic dispute with a female at a private residence. During the investigation, Troopers say the victim reported that Sikorski-Elsbree punched, kicked, and strangled her during the incident. The victim also says the man damaged her property and threated her with a knife.

Sikorski-Elsbree has been charged with Strangulation in the second degree, Harassment in the second degree, a violation, Assault in the third degree, Menacing in the second degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the fourth degree and Criminal Mischief in the fourth degree.
He has been arraigned in the Town of Greenville Court and remanded to the Greene County Jail in lieu of bail $5,000.00 cash and $10,000.00 bond.
