LANSINGBURGH N.Y. - Family and friends of 19-year-old Vanessa
Milligan are awaiting answers on the expecting mother's autopsy report.
An autopsy has been completed on Milligan, but officials have not
yet released information that may give the family a better understanding of
what happened to Vanessa prior, or during Thursday's late night fire. She was
nine months pregnant was found.
The fire at the 5th Avenue home in
Troy is being considered suspicious in nature, but there is still no word
on the cause. That's where family members say the teenager lived
with her grandmother who lost her battle with cancer on Thursday, just hours
before fire crews were called to the home.
Fire Chief Tom Garrett tells us he believes the fire started on
the first floor rear apartment. Family members say the teenager lived with
her grandmother who lost her battle with cancer the same day fire crews were
called to the home.
Police are an active part of this investigation and we are
waiting on an official release on the case as early as today. Check back with
NEWS10 ABC for updates.
