Albany Police investigating Second Avenue robbery


ALBANY, N.Y. -- Albany police are investigating a robbery that occurred on Second Avenue.

Officer responded to Jane's Variety, located at 24 Second Ave. for a report of a robbery on Friday, March 28, at noon. When officers arrived, the clerk told officers that he confronted three males that were inside the store and asked them to leave. He further stated that all three suspects began to punch and kick him while he was attempting to get them to leave. The suspects then allegedly forcibly stole money from his pockets. All three suspects then fled the scene.

The victim was treated at the scene by firefighters and transported to Albany Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

All three suspects are described as black males in their early twenties.
