UPDATE: The Sheriff's Office has announced that as of 2 p.m., the Saratoga County 911 Center non-emergency lines are back in service. 885-6761 will again ring directly in the Communications Center.

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Saratoga County Sheriff's Office is experiencing landline phone issues.

The office said on Monday morning that half of their 911 lines are inoperable. Also, all of the administrative lines are down, which is the phone number 885-6761.

However, 911 services have not been affected but overall incoming 911 capacity is. In the event that capacity is exceeded, calls are automatically routed to back up facilities in Warren and Washington Counties.

The Sheriff's Communications Center can still be reached through the county switchboard 885-5381, extension 2400.

Verizon has been on-site working on the problem, and have yet to indicate what or where the problem has occurred.
