NORTH GREENBUSH, N.Y. – A woman has been arrested after allegedly driving drunk with a toddler in her vehicle.
Around 5 p.m. on Saturday, North Greenbush Police responded to a single vehicle traffic accident on Route 43. Upon arrival, police determined Erika Sten, 43, was the driver of the vehicle.
An investigation revealed Sten was driving westbound when it veered off the right shoulder of the road, glanced off a power pole, and came to a rest on the front lawn of a nearby residence.
Officers say they charged Sten with DWI, Aggravated DWI involving a child under 16 and endangering the welfare of a child. Sten and her 2-year-old daughter were not injured in the accident.
Sten was arraigned and remanded to Rensselaer County Jail in lieu of $7,500 bail.
