Arrest made in Johnstown public lewdness case

JOHNSTOWN, N.Y. – Police made an arrest in the case of public lewdness at the Johnstown Mall.

Nelson Peters was arrested Wednesday for public lewdness in the Yankee Dollar Store at the Johnstown Mall. Peters exposed himself in front of a female patron and her 12-year-old daughter.

Peters was charged with Public Lewdness and Trespass. The Trespass charge stemmed from Peters receiving a letter dated March 12 from Johnstown Mall stating he was no longer allowed on the property due to his unruly behavior.

Peters was arraigned in Johnstown City Court and released on $1,000 cash bail.
