PRINCETOWN, N.Y. - A local town justice has resigned from his position after being arrested for firing a shotgun in his neighborhood.

State Police say William Reynolds, 56, fired three shots into the air, one of them allegedly struck a home.

Authorities wouldn't say what his intended target was, only that he was uncooperative.

He's been charged with reckless endangerment, obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest, all misdemeanors.
