SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Schenectady taxpayers will head to the polls to vote on the Schenectady City School District Capital Project Tuesday.
The project would need $70 million. The money would be used to address the needs of several schools in the district but mainly Mont Pleasant Middle School and Oneida.
The Board of Education adopted a plan to reconfigure the district's grade structure in November 2013. The Capital Project would help provide the infrastructure to support the change.
The district said there is little to no tax impact on the proposed project.
