Three teens arrested, accused of robbery in Albany


ALBANY, N.Y. – Three teenagers have been arrested after allegedly forcibly stealing a woman's cell phone.

Albany Police say that on Sunday around midnight, a woman was walking in the area of Second Street and Henry Johnson Boulevard when three females approached her from behind and pushed her. The victim told police that she was punched and the girls stole her cell phone,

According to authorities, the victim followed the suspects to the area of Clinton Avenue and Henry Johnson Boulevard, which is when she flagged down officers who were on patrol. The officers intervened and placed all three suspects into custody.

Jessiah Terrell, 16, Shavionna Brasswell, 17, and Shanaya Roberts, 18, all of Albany, were each charged with one count of Robbery 2nd.

All three were arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail.
