WATERFORD, N.Y. – Waterford Police have arrested a man on nine charges, including felony DWI.
According to authorities, on Sunday around 12:30 a.m., an officer observed a vehicle drifting across lines on Fonda Road.
The police officer initiated a traffic stop. While talking with the driver, the officer found the driver exhibited signs of intoxication.
The driver, Martin Delgado-Beltran, 29, allegedly refused to submit to a pre-screening test and was arrested. He submitted a chemical test and was found with a BAC of .22-percent, according to Waterford Police.
Authorities say Delgado-Beltran had a previous DWI arrest in 2011. He has been charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated and Driving While Intoxicated, both felonies. He is also charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Reckless Driving, Refusal to Take a Breath Test, Consumption of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle, Driving on the Shoulder, Failed to Keep Right and Disorderly Conduct.
Delgado-Beltran was released after being issued Uniform Traffic Tickets and is scheduled to appear in Waterford Town Court in April.
