Fort Edward man arrested as fugitive of justice


HARTFORD, Vt. – Vermont State Police arrested a Fort Edward man Thursday as a fugitive from justice.

State Police were looking for a black mini cooper that was traveling north on Interstate 91 from the Walpole, New Hampshire area. The Nashua New Hampshire Police Department were also advised of the vehicle.

The vehicle was being driven by Michael Keegan of Fort Edward. Police pinged Keegan's cell phone in attempt to find his location. Keegan was wanted for an aggravated sexual assault.

Keegan was stopped in the town of Hartford and was arrested as a fugitive from justice. He was lodged at the southern state correction facility on $45,000 cash or security bond.

He is ordered to appear in Windsor Criminal Court.
