ALBANY, N.Y.—An Albany man was sentenced to 15 years in State Prison on Thursday.
Shaquan Oliver, 23, will serve a total of 28 years in prison after being served for an unrelated 13 year sentence from his conviction of one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the second degree.
On January 28, Oliver pleaded guilty to one count of Robbery in the first degree, a felony.
Oliver and co-defendants Bernanrd White, 24, Uquan Bean, 22, and Antwan Uptegrow, 36, all attemped to rob Alex Duncan, 35, in front of a neighborhood business. During the robbery, Duncan was shot in the chest and taken to Albany Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
All three co-defendants pleaded guilty to one Count of Robbery in the first degree, a felony.
