ALBANY, N.Y. – Three people pleaded guilty to three unrelated incidents of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, according to Albany County DA Soares.
Timothy Austin, 52, pleaded guilty to one Count of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated in relation to an October 2013 incident at the intersection of Copeland Hill Road and Route 32 in the Town of Coeymans. Austin got into an accident and ended up in an embankment after he swerved to avoid hitting a deer. State Police said he had a BAC of .21-percent. He faces 90 days in the Albany County Jail, 3 years of Misdemeanor Probation, a $1,000 fine, the installation of an Ignition Interlock Device for 3 years and a minimum of 1 year of license revocation when sentenced.
Jacklyn Moran, 33, pleaded guilty to Count of Driving While Intoxicated- Leandra's Law, a felony. She admitted to driving with a BAC of .21-percent in October 2013 with a child in her vehicle. She was involved in a motor vehicle collision that resulted in property damage. She faces 7 months in the Albany County Jail, 5 years of Felony Probation, the installation of an Ignition Interlock Device for 5 years, a $1,000 fine, pay $450.00 in restitution to the victim, a minimum of 1 year of license revocation and must participate in the Saratoga County Drug Court program when sentenced.
Jason Sanchez, 32, also pleaded guilty to Count of Driving While Intoxicated- Leandra's Law. In November 2013, Sanchez admitted to driving with a BAC of .13-percent when an 8-year-old child and 3-year-old child were in the car. State Police observed the children were not restrained by seatbelts after they observed Sanchez without head lights on. He faces 60 days of Community Service with the Albany County STOP DWI program, 5 years of Felony Probation, a $1,000 fine, the installation of an Ignition Interlock Device for 5 years, a minimum of 1 year of license revocation and must participate in the Albany County Drug Court program when sentenced.
