Police: Woman stabbed in North Greenbush

NORTH GREENBUSH, N.Y. -- Police are investigating an attempted murder that occurred Monday morning.

Police responded to 37 Kent Pl. shortly before 9:30 a.m. for a report that a female was stabbed. Police encountered Joseph Adamo, Jr. in the driveway of his residence and his wife, Gina, was found inside the residence with mulitple stab wounds.

Gina Adamo was transported to Albany Medical Center where she is being treated.

Joseph Adamo was charged with Attempted Murder in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree. He was arraigned in Town of North Greenbush Court and was remanded to Rensselaer County Correctional Facility without bail.
