Man accused of firing two rounds at Scotia home


SCOTIA, N.Y. – A Schenectady man is accused of shooting a gun into a Scotia home.

According to Scotia Police, Lawrence Daly, Jr., 51, was arrested on Sunday morning. They say officers arrived to the James Street home after a reported shooting around 10:45 a.m.

Police say that Daly was at the home to allegedly confront a man over a mutual female acquaintance. He is accusing of firing two rounds from a legally-possessed semiautomatic handgun into the front door of the home.

Police say no one was inside the home at the time of the shooting.

Daly has been charged with criminal possession of a weapon 2nd and reckless endangerment 1st. He was arraigned and remanded to the Schenectady County Jail in lieu of bail.
