WATERFORD, N.Y. – Police say they have arrested a man for a BAC more than three times the legal limit.
According to Waterford Police, on Saturday around 1 a.m., an officer stopped a vehicle for failure to keep right. Upon investigation, the officer determined the driver had been drinking before getting behind the wheel.
Michael Vautrin, 31, allegedly refused to submit a pre-screening test and was arrested. He was taken to the Waterford Police Department where he submitted a chemical breath test. According to authorities, he was found was a BAC of .26-percent.
Vautrin has been charged with aggravated DWI, DWI, driving with .08 of 1-percent or more of alcohol, refusal to take a breath test, and failure to keep right.
He was issued tickets and will be back in court this week.
