Woman accused of forging more than $3,000 in checks


ATHENS, N.Y. – A Greene County woman has been accused of committing two felonies.

According to New York State Police, Jessica White, 28, was arrested after authorities discovered White was allegedly forging signatures and cashing a number of personal checks without the permission of the account holder.

Authorities say this has been happened over the past year at a number of businesses in the surrounding area.

White is accused of stealing more than $3,000 as a result of the forged checks, following a police investigation.

White has been arrested for Grand Larceny in the 3rd and Forgery in the 2nd. She has been arraigned and remanded to the Greene County Jail in lieu of $10,000.00 bail or $20,000.00 bond.
