CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. – Electrical power lines came down in Clifton Park Wednesday after sleet and ice fell throughout the day.

A tree fell in the area of Beechwood Road and Aspen Lane around 6 p.m. Wednesday knocking down power lines. The downed lines left hundreds of nearby residents without power late into the night.

National Grid crews and a tree removal company worked to repair the damaged line and restore power.

Eileen Kelley said she was cooking dinner when she heard the tree fall. She said she was just focused on staying warm despite the lack of power.

"I'm listening to music and have a fire going," she said.

Most power was restored to most residents by Thursday morning. As of 9 a.m. only 115 customers were still affected.
