GLENS FALLS, N.Y. – Snow began falling in Warren County Wednesday morning making road conditions rough, but some residents took the snowfall in stride.
Brian Juiney of Glens Falls said the roads were a big mess.
"Slippery and getting worse now," he said. "Very slushy, messy; looks like there's a coating of ice underneath, so the cars are sliding around."
Jason Katz of Queensbury was surprised by the change in weather.
"Yesterday's high was 52 degrees. Today, it's snowing," he said. "What do you make of all this? It's crazy. I just don't know."
Jennifer Plummer of Hudson Falls had to shovel snow Wednesday but found a bright spot.
"It's not that bad. It's not that cold," she said. "At least it's not that negative weather we've had."
Most of the shops in Lake George were closed Wednesday, but Capri Pizza was still up and running.
Capri Pizza has been in business in Lake George for 43 years and stays open during the winter, but owner Rocco Mastrantoni admitted he's had enough.
"We don't need all this mess. We need some nice spring weather and the lake to open up because it don't do good fro any business," he said. "The only business we get now is people calling up and wanting delivery, but we can't get to them. In fact, I have one out now, and she's stuck. And she's going to yell at me when she gets back."
Plow trucks were out on the streets, and everyone was advised to take it slow.
