BRATTLEBORO, Vt., - Vermont State Police have arrested a woman who is accused of burglarizing a number of residences in Windham County.
According to authorities, a search warrant was executed at 51-year-old Donna Ditchkus' home in the town of Brattleboro on Tuesday.
The search warrant was one of numerous others executed at the home during a six month long and multi-state investigation into the string of burglaries.
Upon investigation, police say Ditchkus has stolen antiques from several businesses in the Windham County area. They say there were over 100 pieces of stolen property recovered totaling more than $40,000. Ditchkus has been charged with burglary, retail theft, and possession of stolen property.
Vermont State Police say the investigation is ongoing and they do expect more arrests while they uncover more stolen items.
Authorities encourage anyone who has been the victim of a burglary should contact the State Police in Rockingham.
