COHOES, N.Y.—Make-A-Wish Northeast New York is participating in Wheels for Wishes, a national campaign.
The program gives people the opportunity to donate old and unwanted vehicles to the wish-granting fund to support local children and teens who suffer from life-threatening medical conditions.
Donating is very simple, the donator schedules a date for pickup, and Wheels for Wishes comes and tows the vehicle away for free. The vehicle is then turned around and sold for its maximum value.
100 percent of the proceeds go toward Make-A-Wish Northeast New York.
"Wheels for Wishes is new to our chapter, and we are excited to be a part of it this year. It's a great way for members of the local community to get rid of their old vehicles and help children in the 518 area code at the same time," said Bill Trigg III, CEO of Make-A-Wish Northeast New York.
