Woman dies after being pulled from Hudson River

GLENS FALLS, N.Y. – Authorities say that a woman and two dogs were pulled from the Hudson River on Tuesday afternoon in Glens Falls.

The Glens Falls Fire Department Assistant Chief John Ellingsworth said the woman was walking her dogs in the area of Haviland Cove Park at the end of Bush Street around 1 p.m. Tuesday when she went through the ice.

The woman was taken to the hospital and later died.

Her name has not been released.
