Fulton Co. woman indicted on multiple charges after Oct. 2013 crash

JOHNSTOWN, N.Y. – A Broadalbin woman was indicted on multiple charges after an October 2013 crash that killed a man.

Melissa Vincent was indicted on six charges in Fulton County Court Monday.

The 39-year-old was charged with Manslaughter in the Second Degree, Vehicular Manslaughter in the Second Degree, Driving While Intoxicated, Operating a Motor Vehicle with .08 percent or more of Alcohol, Driving While Ability Impaired and Reckless Driving.

The indictment stems from a the October 27, 2013 single car crash on County Highway 155 in the Town of Mayfield that resulted in the death of 34-year-old Justin DePaula of Broadalbin.

Vincent's driver's license was suspended, and she posted $75,000 cash bail/insurance bond during court Monday.

If convicted, Vincent could face a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison. She is scheduled to reappear in court on May 2.
