Man accused of smash and grab burglary at gas station


SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Authorities say they have arrested one man for a burglary charge.

According to the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office, Eric McCleary, 45, was charged with burglary in the 3rd degree after an investigation into a smash and grab burglary throughout Saratoga County.

The Sheriff's Office said a joint investigation with the Saratoga Springs Police, State Police Wilton and Malta led to McCleary's arrest.

He is accused of entering Doheny Sunoco Route 50 in Milton in the early morning hours of March 3 and allegedly removed cigarettes.

McCleary was arraigned and remanded to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility with no bail.
