SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – On Friday evening, a local hospital was put on lock down after a threatening phone call, according to police.
Saratoga Springs Police say they responded to Four Winds Hospital on Crescent Avenue around 7:45 p.m. after a threatening phone call was placed to the staff. The staff initiated the lock down.
According to authorities, police immediately began to investigate the threat.
Four Winds staff lifted the lock down after approximately three hours.
Officers continued to investigate the phone call on Saturday and Sunday. Police say that their investigation led to the arrest of Emilio Astacio, 17, of Cohoes. He has been charged with Making a Terroristic Threat, a felony.
Astacio is accused of calling Four Winds Hospital and telling the staff "I have a gun and I am going to blow all your heads off," according to police.
He has been arraigned and remanded to Saratoga County Jail on $50,000 cash or $100,000 bond.
