Second person charged in Durham dogs case


DURHAM, N.Y. – The second person wanted in the case of abused dogs in Greene County turned himself in.

Christopher Cella turned himself in to police Tuesday. The 55-year-old is accused along with Dawn Verdeschi of failing to provide food and water for 39 dogs.

The dogs were found living in filthy conditions in two homes.
