East Greenbush woman arrested after running from police

EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. – A local woman was arrested Tuesday afternoon after she ran from police who were attempting to pick her up on a warrant.

Krista Collandra was a passenger in a car being driving on Columbia Turnpike when she was spotted by an officer. The officer conducted a traffic stop, but Collandra ran when the car came to a stop.

The 25-year-old wrestled with the officer after being overtaken until restraints were used to take her into custody.

Collandra is charged with Failure to Appear in Court via Appearance Ticket, Resisting Arrest and Possession of Hypodermic Syringe.

She was arraigned in Town of East Greenbush Court and remanded to county jail until her next court appearance scheduled on March 6.
