EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. – An East Greenbush man was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly pulled a gun on a teenager.

Police were called to Forrest Pointe Drive Tuesday for the incident. The teen used his cell phone to call 911 and gave a description of the suspect and vehicle used to leave the scene of the confrontation.

The suspect vehicle was spotted in Rensselaer. Police responded and found 43-year-old Michael Richter in possession of the vehicle. A search found a 9 mm Kahr semi automatic pistol. Richter was then taken into custody.

Richter was charged with Menacing in the Second Degree. He was arraigned in the Town of East Greenbush Court and issued orders of protection and orders of personal recognizance.

No motive could be determined other than the two had exchanged remarks as they passed on the street and there appeared to be a cultural divide.

Richter will appear in court on March 6.
