Albany man arrested for stealing items from Commercial buildings

ALBANY, N.Y.--An Albany man was arrested on Wednesday for stealing items from commercial buildings in Albany.

Maurice Adams, 52, was arrested after an investigation took place. He was charged with five counts of Petit Larceny.

Adams stole from commercial buildings on the following five dates:

January 21, 2014: Adams entered the Northeast Association of the Blind and stole a 3 by 10 food section of carpet.

February 2, 2014: Adams stole a fire extinguisher from inside the building of Community Care Physicians.

February 22, 2014: Adams went into Hilton Garden Inn and stole two area rugs.

February 24, 2014: Adams stole two carpet runners from inside the building of 194 Washington Avenue.

March 1, 2014: Adams returned to Community Care Physicians and stole two mirrors from the bathroom.

Adams was sent to the Albany County Jail. The investigation is ongoing.
