HUDSON, N.Y.-- A former Hudson firefighter was sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty to stealing from his fire company.
Joseph Morrison was sentenced to prison for 2 to 5 years and ordered to pay back nearly $50,000.
He told the judge he's only human, and sorry for the mistakes he made.
The 35-year-old from Hudson pleaded guilty in November to third degree Larceny in Columbia County Court.
After an investigation by Hudson police and the State Comptroller's office, it was found that Morrison had used fire company credit cards over a three year period.
