Assistant Superintendent accused of possessing Meth on paid leave

COLONIE, N.Y. -- A Gloversville Assistant Superintendent arrested on drug charges is now on paid leave, according to officials.

Frank Pickus, 57, Assistant Superintendent of the Gloversville Enlarged School District was pulled over on Route 9 in Latham. Police say he was leaving a motel when officers saw him swerving in and out of his lane.

During the traffic stop, police say they searched his car and found a bag of methamphetamines.

Pickus is now facing three traffic violations and two misdemeanor drug charges.
