Dewey Loeffel Landfill informational hearing held Monday

KINDERHOOK, N.Y. -- Those with concerns about the Dewey Loeffel Landfill will have the opportunity to ask questions Monday night.

The EPA will discuss the startup of the new plant that's collecting and treating liquid seeping from the landfill.

They'll also address additional field work planned for this year, aimed at providing information about the extent of the contamination and any future risks.

Public information hearings will be from 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Kinderhook, and the same time Tuesday night at St. Mary's of the Nativity Church in Nassau.
