LATHAM, N.Y. – State Police have arrested a man for felony computer trespass and falsifying business records, as well as the misdemeanor charge of official misconduct.
Gabriel Rodriquez, 39, is accused of using an Albany County Sheriff's Office department computer to make unlawful criminal history inquiries of people from the Department of Criminal Justice Services database.
An investigation into the case began this year by State Police after a Department of Criminal Justice Services audit was conducted upon request from The Albany County Sheriff's Office.
Rodriguez is currently on suspension with the Sheriff's Office on unrelated charges.
Rodriguez was processed without incident and was arraigned in the Village of Voorheesville Court. He was released on his own recognizance.
A special prosecutor has been assigned to this case and no further information is available at this time.
